Let's discuss "Powerslaves: An Elektro Tribute to Iron
Maiden".

This release kicks ass :) I'm not too familiar with Maiden's
music, but some of these tracks are really good and
professional. Quite cheezy but done with good taste.

Anyone else have this release?

Hmm. Curious. What sort of "elektro" is it? I've heard
pretty much every Maiden album, this would be interesting to
me.

Elektro is electro ;) I don't think there is any other word
to describe this kind of music. It's not IDM, drill n bass
or anything like that.

Examples: Legowelt, Kraftwerk, Imatran Voima, Miss Kittin,
Drexciya, etc...

Oh god no, not Mother Russia!!

Most of those tracks are quite simple, shame as the longer
tracks by Maiden are usually their best.

They actually sample 2 Live Crew on that track, heh.
