always find it hard to choose favourites..
so im just going to list some records that im playing a lot
these days, or ones i keep coming back to..
(in no particular order)

aphextwin:
drukqs
i care because you do
classics
(poygon window) surfing on sine waves

plaid: spokes

boardsofcanada:
in a beautiful place out in the country
music has the right to children

laurent garnier: unreasonable behaviour

plastikman: sheet one

matthew herbert: bodily functions

mum: finally we are no one

i could go on.. but for now, i wont.
and im not even going to dream of straying from electronica
& techno into the realm of guitar stuff, jazz, drum&bass,
jungle, hiphop etc. or we might be here all night.

im sure all of you would say the same.
its everybody's individual responsibility to excercise
restraint.

good choices..
though i go through phases with psyence fiction. i think
theres some great shadow material on there.. but some of the
collaborations don't really stand up much on their own.
i think its an lp that really works as a whole - but when
you break it down to individual tracks, cracks begin to
appear..

its VERY welcome though.. you picked up some classics.
i love the way that a lot of the old house, techno & jungle
tunes have actually improved with age.. theyre move
evocative now because of all the ideas & memories attatched
to them than they were when they first appeared.
they sound better listening to them as nostalgia (the sounds
of 10-15 years ago) than they did at the time (emerging as
"cutting edge" music)
i wonder which of todays tracks will age like fine wine in
that way?..

shrug... sometimes it gets hard to draw the line, and decide
which is electronic a which is rock... I'm listening to Up
in Flames by Manitoba now, and maybe the way it was recorded
was more along the lines of electronic music (ie sampling
and such) but damn it sounds like rock music to me...

and something like Everyday by Cinematic Orchestra... what
do you call that, Jazz or hiphop, or electronic music? It
sounds like straight jazz, but then you read that it's based
on samples... samples of the band playing, but still...
shrug...

dont be such a liar

of course its difficult to draw the line ... but you are
miles away from that line when you say:

Genesis - Selling England by the Pound
Peter Gabriel - Passion or Us
