Are these the first public opening shots to soften us up for a military takeover of democracy? Sounds like it to me.
Read it and make of it what you will...

Although I hope that such a thing is impossible, I think the General made some pretty damn good points. He's definately right about peace not being a lasting part of human history. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. All this shit is pretty scary in my opinion.

WTF!? The END of Democracy? Ill let you in on a little secret, Americans especially live in a shroud of lies. There was hardly ever a true democracy, whatever governments we have now are defenitly not, or never were a democracy. to believe that is to be assimilated like the rest,
when will all these old dinosaurs die and let new blood into any office..... anywhere.... this is ridiculous, the world is shit.

Peloton: thats cool, i wasnt name callin' heh.
Zephyr Twin: well..... its very true, the fact that middle american and others suck down and gobble the news, the crap, the lies that they feed them, they willingly take it and think its all true, its all OK, is all backed by the government.
The American government is a cancer of the world and NEEDS to be destroyed, removed or replaced, neither of these will happen most likely, because of the people that let these politicians stay in power. its sick.

I think people have to appreciate that there are multiple forms of democracy surrounding us. People get pissed and then suddenly claim there isn't any democracy because they can't get their way over Iraq. That is just such bull. Democracy in its current state is pretty explicit, you vote for those who you believe best serve your views and take on things. Going further down the ladder at the local level there is plenty of Democracy, descision making and influencing that people can get involved in. Democracy and the bureacracy that is an intrinsic part of that surrounds us constantly. If people choose to ignore that then that is their chose. Yes I think we can all agree that for there to be ultimate democracy then everyone would be allowed to vote on every single minor issue. However ultimately people wouldn't have the time nor the inclination to keep up. It may well be that in the future electronic voting forms some part of that. However what we're really getting down to is the question not of democracy but of freedom of thought and that can never be a truism as we're always influenced by others in our views.

i agree that democracy is pretty awsome. but one major flaw with it is, that usually the majority rules in a democracy, but the majority of people do not know what is best for them or are easily misled. it's kind of a catch-22.
but a totally awsome catch-22.
did i mention that america is totally awsome? yes... yes i believe i did.

i do like where the world is heading... because it's heading toward conflict of the system... the number of popular goverments is growing (like lula in brasil)
the world is heading towards direct conflict with power and the people.. and things will change... hopefully a good change
