I tried downloading from slsk.org, but none of the pages or
links will take me to a download.. do you have to pay before
you can download now?

yeah its been off an on all day, so basically my choices
are:
kazaa - barely ever connects to users, and when it does I
download at 0.49kb/sec (avg)
Slsk - fast when connected... meaning, RARELY.

Try Emule... at www.emule-project.net

It's fantastic, it has many albums that are hard to find on
Soulseek actually

the old soulseek url is doing some kind of scam at the
moment pretending to be pukka soulseek. it tries to install
some iffy package into iexplorer

that sucks, but so does the real soulseek... I can connect
maybe every other day, the rest of the time it's just down.

how do i get those cfg files for my settings (wishlists,
ports, friends etc) to work? i did exactly as the
instructions said but it still ain't working. and i tried
some other ways as well. this sucks

you copy the cfg files to C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\application data\Soulseek\*

and also if needed you tick the option "save client data to
registry"

and restart slsk

and that should do

if that directory isn't there do i make a new one? makes no
sense.

i don't have it under all users but my own name..that's the
only difference...

just use the folder for your own username, not all users.

it's not about new, it's about the fact that the old version
is going to be disfunctional soon, get it

tolst: my female friend got around to change her settings
and switch to the new version very quickly, you shouldn't
have much problem either as long you keep to the
instructions on the slsk page, cheers
