Sennheisers.

What do you want them for (Listening at home, Listening at
work, DJing, portable stereo use, music production, etc)?

listen to my neighbour phoning with them.

Hmm, I can't recommend a specific model for
Listening/production at home, but for a portable stereo I'd
recommend SEnnheiser MX-500s. Fantastic "in ear" headphones
and cheap too (£20).

for the smaller set, get the sony wrap around headphones,
but dont get any of the cheap knockoffs, they dont feel or
sound nearly as good (nor do they last as long)

Sony MDR-7506. Rugged, Sound good. Excellent bass. They
fold up for storage, too.

got my sennheiser for over three years now, using it almost
everyday: still fits great, only had to buy a new wire for
it once, you can plug it in easy, but the headphone still
works great

I've been using cheap-o 30 dollar Sony headphones for years,
I've never used a pair of top-of-the-line headphones, ever.
I hope Santa Claus is reading this. *waves

mine are Sony MDR V600 phones

i've been using them for years with no complaints. i think
you can get them for around $60-80 and they are well worth
the money. very comfortable too.

Sennheiser HD25s the flatest frequency response across all
frequencies you'll find for the price :D

I have those 500's, pretty good sound, I just hate in ear
headphones because they pop out easily and sometimes one
side can be pushed further in the ear than the other side.
Someone needs to make a good comfortable pair of in-ear
phones.

I also use Sennheiser eH 2200 for production at my home
computer.

I used those same ones when I lived with my parents 'cause
my dad had them. They were great.

Heres what i have. They are superb. You will notice tiny
flaws in everything. They were 300 bucks though, which is
alot, but worth every penny to me.

I don't like the sound of my grado sr80's; the high
frequencies are accented too much and the midrange is
lacking. I prefer my sennheiser hd497's. they don't have as
much detail, but the response is much more even overall, but
with more bass than the grados.

if you get beyer dynamics dt990pro's dont play them loud.
im serious. the sound is crystal clear and the highend has a
definite bite to it. it'll bite your ears off. just dont
play them loud
