Any fans of this album? Ohhh this album is so beautiful.
Sort of poppy, really pleasant, awesome keyboard/synth/piano
lines. I've been digging around for albums like this because
of the approaching winter, this is the stuff I'm into when
snow comes... none 'o that manic drill shit, no way! Blue
Flower > Venetian Snares

Anyway, I highly recommend this album because Herrmann and
Kleine have only been mentioned here 4 times. Make a good
purty gift. And I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with
Christian Kleine's other work, or Herrmann's. And also, if
anyone has some good winter albums, spill it, I need to make
some playlists. Hood- Cold House is another good one.

you should listen to 'beyond repair'

i think it's christian kleine's best work to date. i'm glad
you like cold house, you should track down hood's older
albums like 'rustic houses forlorn valleys' and 'the cycle
of days and seasons'

the 'you show no emotion at all' ep is fucking ace too!

Thanks! I just read up on Beyond Repair, right up my alley.
Can't find much about Thaddeus (!) Herrmann though.

Havne't heard that EP... I've heard most of Hood's albums
and those two recent compilations, so I might have heard
those tracks already if they were on the comps, but I'll
check it out anyway.

i like hermann & kleine, the only track i don't like is the
cover of "blue flower." it took a few listens for the music
to click. great album. i think "valis" is christian
kleine's best.

yes, stuff from morr music is perfect for winter.
i spent a few hours at their site earlier checking out new
stuff.
styrofoam, ulrich schnauss, opiate, populous, gunther,
b.fleischman, manual and others are all very good too.

you should look for the 'blue skied an' clear'
compilation/slowdive tribute, as it is a pretty good
overview of the label, also if you are a fan of slowdive.

Christian Kleine is cool, I like his 7" on CCO "minus time"
a lot. The firn ep wasn't bad either but I think my
favorite song by him is actually off a comp. called hotel
stadt berlin.

Yeah, been listening to A Strangely Isolated Place today...
that's exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking for. I'll check
out the ones I'm not familiar with, thanks... Opiate sounds
interesting.

And I really like this version of Blue Flower... and I just
realized it's on Mazzy Star's ''She Hangs Brightly'' too.

My fav 2003 release: Manual - Isares EP.
Even better than Ulrich Schnauss and Herrmann & Kleine.

I heard Valis today... excellent album, not as good as Our
Sound though.

I also recently found out that Kleine plays guitar on some
of the tracks on Arovane's Tides album (one of the best
ever)... cool tidbit, news to me.
