if he's always playing the same shit, why would you expect
him to do something different?

sorry, i put it wrong there...i'd like to hear him play
something else for a change
i've heard him live 2 times in last two months and both
times it was exactly same stuff as now on peel - its getting
a bit boring thats all

he he, all rephlex's latest releases have been this kinda
stuff, growing on me tho, wish i had been at one of those
rephlex gigs!

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-11-12 16:14 [#00947846]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

its nothing wrong with this stuff actually, but it could be
a little different from time to time...but it is always
exactly the same

i like "pressure" quite a bit and i like ragga in general as
well

offline Rambling Madman from the future (United Kingdom) on 2003-11-12 16:15 [#00947847]

I'm not into vocals much besides, I cant imagine there's
many white guys doing that kinda stuff?

yeh agree its been pretty repetitive, i found all the amen
andrews releases on rephlex kinda all the same and the bugs
stuff as well, but....its pretty good

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-11-12 16:17 [#00947855]

perhaps not doing it...but i saw them enjoing it a lot :)

I dig the Jungle Boogie totaly. Not into the ragga stuff but
thats just from a sitting & listening perspective, I'm sure
I wouldn't give a shit if I was at the event!

its pretty slow tempo...so it helps if you're stoned...at
least a little :)

the first time i was listening to the bug live i was hardly
moving...the second time i was almost dancing...just not
hardcore enough though

offline Rubicon from Manchester (United Kingdom) on 2003-11-12 16:39 [#00947892]

yeh can imagine being stoned would help! only got the bugs
releases on vinyl, got the amen andrews releases too and
those are pretty good if anyones into hearing more stuff
like this

mmmm, I know what you mean, I have a couple of mates who go
nuts for dancing to hiphop, I'm just sat/stood there noding
my head with a pint thinking wtf? Xb

hehe, i went with a friend...first guy playing was vladisalv
delay - presenting luomo, so quite danceable stuff, she was
enjoying him quite a bit...soon after the bug took turn she
went off the dance floor :) ...i must take her to some
snares or afx action sometime hehe, that's going to do the
damage

I'm not the sort of person to go mad for seeing live acts
(just as well really as I live in the sticks) I suppose I
don't really feel comfortable enough to go on my own & I
don't really know anyone who shares my musical tastes.....
well, one person but then my girlfriend would want to come &
that would throw me as always....... Ahh mate, it's such a
downer

hey but you live in UK...plenty people into that overthere

it seems i always manage to get someone to join me for the
gigs...some are enjoing it a lot, and some not that much,
but the important thing is that i enjoy it :) and i do!!!
shame we dont get to see many gigs like that overhere tho...
