after nine years, I've now removed the piercing I had in my
tongue. It's weird. Feels better not to have it there
actually, but it's a bit sad too. It's almost like it's
become a part of me, and now it's gone. Sort of like when
you amputate an arm. Well, not entirely of course, but
still, it's weird.

I guess I'm growing out of that shit anyway. I was 17 at the
time, but then again, I'd still like to pierce both my
nipples, but my gf says no.. (like I care, hehe).

Ah well. Now I'm left with a friggin' hole in my tongue.

Very. When you wear it for a long time, it becomes a part of
your external identity me thinks.

I've heard it hurts like fuck to pierce your nipples. No
wonder, it's a fucking nerve center. That's why I've never
went through with it. I'm such a pussy when it comes to
pain.

i like my piercings and tatts.... then again i'm just a
little girl, and they're the "hip" thing to do.

yeah, I love(d) mine too, and you get very attached to them.
both tatts and piercings, or any other body mod I suppose,
but lately I've been thinking that I just don't need to have
it anymore.

Nine years is a long time, imo.

I mean, it wasn't even hip when I did it, at least not in
norway, especially since I lived out in a beautiful place
out in the country at that time. Guess it was kinda hip in
Oslo already though. I think I was the first with a pierced
tongue in my city.

It was a home done job, done by a Dr who lived with us...I
forget what she used, but it looked like a skewer...no
pain-killers etc, (apart from the stuff they stick on
catheters when inserting them..i.e. totally useless...)...

If it had been done with one of those gun things then I
guess it would be wham, bam, thank you mam, rather than 20
minutes of screaming....

A highly sexual experience tho...Pain like that is odd shit,
especially when inflicted by close friends...

i had an eyebrow one, then one day i looked in the mirror
and decided it was the gayest thing in the world, and it
made me look like white trash. So i ditched it. I never
looked back

generally heal up. tattoo, oh fuck that

actually, that is probably true.

Good reason to never keep up with fads and trends.

Every girl at uni here has a tattoo on the small of their
back. But what do you expect from people?

I used to do all my piercings myself...the only left in me
is my tongue stud.
I'm not gonna get a tattoo,i'm gonna get an engraving or a
burn-like tattoo.(kind of like branding).

But yeah whenever I take my stud out I feel naked..I don't
think I'll ever take it out, because I don't notice it nor do
other people.Exept for when I take it out, thats when I
notice it.

the individuality of having a tattoo and/or piercing has
practically been wiped out, since almost everyone has it.
Therefore, having no tattoo or piercing is actually a
stronger statement of individualism. is it not?!

piercing + tattoos nowadays = quasi-intellectual cappucino
sluts

'I used to do all my piercings myself'

You can take the IDM fan out of the council estate but you
can't take the council estate out of the IDM fan.

out?

Very quickly.About 4 days, but it depends how long you've had
it in for,as time=more scar tissue.

I just found out I can still change my mind if I want to,
but I don't. Or do I? nah.. but then again, maybe?

yeah, the tattoo fad thing is pretty disappointing. i got my
first one 8 years ago, and at the time i didn't know a
single other person with a tat. now you see them
everywhere.
