I will keep on promoting Ovil Bianca till someone agrees he
rules!

d/l 1 min. sample of thou shalt rock!

Is this actually 'noise' ?
I guess it is, because of the distortion, but it doesn't
exactly sound like smojphace...

Well if you like smojphace then you'll probably like most
noise music..

get time hunter by merzbow, or satanstornade perhaps

i'd recommend
Merzbow - Dharma.

it's my favourite noise album yet. it has a feeling of
white/death/emptiness to it, somehow "zen" although it is
noise...

there are four tracks:
the first one ('I'm Coming To The Garden...No Sound, No
Memory') is more subtle than other noise music, though it
will still make your ears whistle probably after listening,
especially the first seconds... has a pretty strong
ambiance, with the dissonance of a weird "melody" and the
sound of the wind...
the second one ('Akashiman') is pretty straightforward but
good; it makes me think of the colour red.
the third one ('Piano Space For Marimo Kitty') includes a
weird piano melody, drowning and surfacing into the noise...

the fourth one ('Frozen Guitars And Sunloop/7E 802') is a
LOT longer than the others, it is even longer than the three
first ones combined - it starts in a beautiful way, almost
ambient... it sounds like divided into two parts, and the
second one you may find is interminable (this is probably
the weak point of the album, though now i got to like it,
you may find it far too long at first)...

some sound samples:
excerpt: I'm Coming To The Garden...No Sound, No Memory
excerpt: Piano Space For Marimo Kitty
excerpt: Frozen Guitars And Sunloop/7E 802

forgot to say, i realize its not specific noise music but
its cool anyway!

i don't think Venetian Snares is noise...

it has nothing to do with Merzbow, except that they both
hurt your ears and are very prolific...

Someday I'm going to play a set with my naked and and
hairless and covered with white latex paint, using a chorus
of blenders, contact mikes scotch taped to lead pipes and a
talking Hello Kitty.

it's going to be so powerful, a statement about bourgeois
man's alienation from Japanese popular culture

* with my body naked and hairless

These attempts to be humorous lose some oomph when I do not
proofread them, do they not?

one
tho he was pretty high on my list before that as well

i also read Frog+ and Timehunter were great Merzbow
albums... with great packaging too...

but they're also both expensive and hard to get. (i haven't
got either of them, tried to order Frog+ but it was out of
print)

im still baffled by how many threads there are on this board
about noise music and none of them ever mention lou reed's
metal machine music. this is the first and best noise ever,
completely composed of just layers upon layers of feedback.
the whole thing is a fucking mind trip. so get that if you
at all liked smojphace, because it will make you realize how
much smojphace sucks anus

that album was made just to get out of a recording contract
and had no meaning what so ever lou reed himself said so

just get an electric saw, and an electric screw driver, and
turn them on simultaneously! Just listen to the intricacies
of the sound!!

tim hecker is probably more ambient, but tim H is the only
noise I'll ever listen to. because I don't like noise music
actually.
listen to this Tim Hecker track of the album My Love is
rotten to the core.
I just love this track.
