wow, I bought this yesterday, and it's fucking awesome!! It's my first Prefuse purchase, but I've been interested in checking him out for a while... it's awesome though, I totally love it... I didn't really know what to expect, besides the whole cut up vocal thing, which there isn't much on here, and I was worried there would be a lot of rapping... you know, I LOVE and ADORE instrumental hip-hop, seriously, it's one of my favorite types of music... put rapping over it, and I lose interest the majority of the time... but yeah, I was pleasantly surprised with this album... it's fantastic!

none of the tracks go too long for me... my complaint is that some things don't go on long enough... and there are too many straight rap tracks! (there are only two) :)

what do you mean you're lost?
I think this is fantastic... one of the best albums I've heard in a while, seriously... it's funky and enjoyable, but still weird and crazy like Autechre... I listened to the whole thing in bed this morning, and really it's rare that I can put on a whole cd and just lie back and listen and consintrate on the whole thing...
What is his first album like? Is there more rap on it?

Funkmaster: Get the outtakes. Fantastic- better than the album IMO. I do love the track "End of Biters - International" from the album though.

I loved the stuff he played from the album live on the tour
Like the extended "Plastic" instrumental...
I deftly love the breakdown into DETCHTIBE...
Prefuse percussion is trademark. Its all quality and I mean you can recognize his style so easily...
i can never listen to all 20 something tracks at once though -- i have always had problems against cd's with that much music

no. but it is good in its own right.
'92 vs '02 collection is extremely good, also, though it's only 4 tracks.

yeah, I have a similar problem with albums that have so many tracks... but in this case I can seriously put it on and enjoy it all the way through... I find I get more into it as it gets to the end also, that I just want to put it on again... seriously, this has everything I want in an album... beautiful melodies, real instrument sounds (even if they are sampled), great funky hip hop beats, weird crazy sounds like Autechre, a bit of cut-up vocals, etc, etc... one of the best albums I've heard in a while... can't wait to hear more by this guy!

what a pain though, I bought this cd only on saturday, and it's scratched... the last part of the cd plays, but sometimes it's annoying... dammit, I want to ask a question to all Netherlands residents... why do stores always take the cds out of the plastic here? I can understand I guess, so they can take the cds out and ensure that they aren't stolen, but it just increases the opportunities for the cd to be scratched, and the cases to be beat up... it's a pain!

maybe I'm wrong there, and all the stores I've been in have been second hand stores, but if that's the case that would include every single store that I've been in... and I've been in a lot!

yeah, I don't know any track titles... the second track is awesome... the only track on the album with cut up vocals, and it's wicked... it's all really good though... I've just been putting it on and playing it all the way through... and the cd plays... last night it played without a hitch, but sometimes it freaks out... and it looks scratched like hell on the back...
I'd bring it back, but the store I bought it from is in Leiden, which would take me a good half hour or more, and 7 euros just to get there...

Yes! It's a fucking great album, and I'm getting outtakes as soon as possible (after I get a mixer)!
And he's going to play at Roskilde too! I'm DEFINATELY there (unless his live-shows are as crap as Four Tets...)

This was my official bicycle soundtrack when I was in Japan. If I was going somewhere, this album was blaring in my ears.
I recently picked up Delarosa + Arosa - Crush the Sight Seers
on vinyl and its much different than his prefuse moniker, but its really cool shit too.
