The new arcola stuff is HOT!
especially the brothomstates ARC000.
erik b and rakim, and then this funky ass disco sounding
tune on the b side. awesome stuff.
other than that, you'll have to hit up the older catalogue.
lfo, nightmares on wax, link. etc.

A sample? hmm. i'm not sure. it's kind of hard to describe.
it got very tight and quick yet very deep bass hits. moving
along at a very nice pace. and erik b and rakim rapping over
it. i'm not very good at describing songs. very
UNbrothomstates though. this one is a sure fire fire
classic. and is probably going to get much play in clubs. i
just dont think there's a whole lot around.
it be white label if not for the ARC000 stamped on it.

dancier. the beat isnt all fucked up and scratchy. i wish
you guys could hear it! anybody got a link?

i finally found a place where this record exsists, other
than on my turntable.
from Forcedexposure.com:

"This is the opening salvo in a long battle for the
dancefloor, launched by the generals of battlecamp Warp.
Having long held an iron grip over all things electronica
they're now launching special dancefloor operations under
the name 'Arcola', a name soon to be feared and respected by
all purveyors of mediocrity. To stamp the word Arcola across
the country's clubbing cognoscenti's cute curves they've
unleashed some old dogs of war, but taught them new tricks.
On the A side of this Trojan horse of a 12" booty bumping
beats with all the squelch of the Somme provide the backdrop
to the devastating delivery of Rakim as he places faith in
the fact that he knows you've got soul. Turn over with care
and what's in sight? Could it be that diminutive purple
warrior Prince packing sticks of disco dynamite? He's uptown
and everything's alright. This record is super limited to
prevent it falling into the wrong hands. Make sure it's part
of your weaponry."

are they trying to redefine dance music (again)? theyve
picked a good time to do so, club music seems to be dying, i
liked loads of club tunes up to 2 years ago, now there's
nothing that interests me. the 1st 2 releases sound ok but
nothing special.

dec 2003 ...

definately good that warp are back on it with the
underground shit again it's pretty much all 4/4 tho so far
