GameCube, eh? Slim pickings... Eternal Darkness is pretty
underrated. Stylish and creepy.

I want a funky platform game to play. Eternal Darkness looks
pretty cool, not too expensive too, but the fact that there
are 16 going used on amazon is it bit worrying. Does this
mean that I'll get bored of it after a while or does it have
a good life span?

They're probably just a bunch of mama's boy scaredy cats.
It's a long, looonggg game with a nice dark storyline and
atmosphere, and three ''paths'' and endings, so it's got
some replay value. Tons of characters and spooky, Gothic
locations.

And this gimmick called ''sanity'' that simulates a person
going insane as you go through the game and start losing
your mind... tough to explain, but it definitely ain't
boring!

being a gamecube owner i recommend the following if you
don't already possess them:

Super Mario Sunshine
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Sonic Mega Collection
Ikaruga
Phantasy Star Online
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil
Viewtiful Joe
Soul Calibur II
Eternal Darkness (yes, it's easy)

be on the lookout for:
Killer-7
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Resident Evil 4

I had Melee and thought it was the biggest pile of pants
ever !

Mario Sunshine was alright but too monotonous. I never
finished it and couldn't be bothered too either

Also be on the look out for The Turtles and Mario Cart and
Mario party 5 =oD

Nope, but the Resident Evil series is exclusive to Gamecube
and Resident Evil 4 looks great. So any real survival horror
fan needs a Gamecube.

Pogoroid- you won't regret it! I hope. Because I fear your
wrath, I really do. Oh JESUS I hope you like this game.

at least three months of your life.

See how far you can throw the worthless piece of shit out
the window. Not a game as such but.. hell I'm up for it.

Viewtifull Joe looks fantastic. I want that game very very
much. It's coming out this month isn't it?

F-Zero GX is fantastic. Definitly the fastest of the
series so far. The kind of game that'll have you actually
leaning left and right whilst going through corners and
gasping for breath if you happen to fall of the track. After
the race is over you find you fingers are cramped around the
controller and you didn't blink for 3 minutes :-p Damn hard
though. Sometimes i'll be in 1st position, make one tiny
little mistake... and everybody zooms past me and i'm back
to 30th!
Beating this game is gonna take alot of practice!

I'll hopefully be getting Animal Crossing tomorrow. It was
supposed to arrive here today, but it didn't :-(

"I've orderd Eternal Darkness"

Play it after dark. With the lights out. You have to kind of
open up to the game and allow it to scare you ;-)

But like JAroen i did think it was pretty scary. I love how
the insanity-effects not only happen to the character, but
sometimes are directly trying to fool the player... i won't
say anything more so i won't spoil it for pOgo.
