Orange Dust - Pausel

It's a happyish melodicish 8bit squarewaveish tune.

I'm trying to do some nice melodies here that aren't all
samey and boringey.
I'm still retarded at making melodies so please forgive me
if I fucked up a few bits.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with it though. I like it it
makes me think of my NES.

I hope you like it too because I love you.

I'm using Fruityloop4 (not studio) for everythig pretty
much.
I make some sounds on drumsynth and orangator and use
cooledit to slice up samples and shit.

Thankyou!

him, the 8bit sound is fresh, and the wondering bass in the
back is unique.

I like your warmer tracks, but this one holds together very
well anyway.

I don't like the bass. It makes the tune sound like one of
those keyboard demo songs. There's a synth sound (noticeable
at 3:40) in there that amplifies this demo song character.
The intro sounds really nice though.

Maybe I was expecting too much 'Falls out of tree on bike',
which I've been listening to alot. The melody on that one is
brilliant. 'Pausel' just doesn't come even close.

amazing construction as always! Good shit mate...

Have u thought of getting this stuff done in cubase or
similar? I know the floops sound is kind of part of the
orange dust style, but think of what would be possible with
more sounds and techniques available...

did you know "lurven" is actually a word in Dutch?

well, you can only really use it one form of expression
"iemand bij zijn lurven pakken", which means 'to catch
someone', whereby the person is hard to get hold of, or
fleeing!!

fascinating stuff, you'll agree!
