no avatars MB?

have you ever turn off the avatars in this MB... last days
I ve been posting without the avatars.

[I went to my "edit your account" and disabled avatars]

its a total diferent experience, cos normally I make myself
an idea of how people are by the look of their avatars...
and without them is just the names what matters... its
strange... though its hard to take the idea of the avatars
once you know what avatar belongs to each member

do you think avatars are really useful?

would you rather a MB without them?

what do you think they are useful to?

one can say that it gives the rest an idea of how we are...
but does that make sense once most of the people change it
more than often?

sweet.

this should be nice at home on my modem. of course, after
you view a thread once all the avatars are in cache. and,
the same 25 or 20 people post in all the threads. and
they're small anyways. hmm..

I love avatars.. the people on this board are so creative I
never know what I'm going to see next.. I guess I do kind of
make a subconscious decision about what people may be like
by their avatar, but I still always try to listen to what
people have to say.

it's just a nice extra feature. I wouldn't make to big a
deal of it.

what I like about the avatars is that with a quick look I
see who posted what... but without them I have to read the
name and its slower

lazy I am

No, I LOVE avatars, I don't even look at names unless I
don't recognize the visual.

Version 4 didn't have avatars, that annoyed me. If I was on
28 or 56k though, I MIGHT try it without pics.

Avatars rule, especially with cute girls in them, like
Virginpusher's and those butt shots. I might turn them off
if I was at work... if I worked.

what does this say:

In a cartoon world

In a cartoon world my wall by my bed would have 200 holes in
it the siZe of my angry dreamstated fist, and thats about
it, the rest of the world is a big enough joke as it is.

feature in this MB, and I specially like that they are not
too big.

but it is nice that at work you can turn them of
