Aphex - it's a classic.

Although I remember being a bit disappointed with it upon
first listen back in 92 as all I'd heard by Aphex Twin prior
to that was the Digeridoo 12" and was expecting more of the
same...!

85-92, love it. I HAVE heard some good older Moby tracks,
but I dunno if they were from Ambient. I'm not a fan of
Chrome Dome, generally.

Alltime, my favorite ambient is SAW2 and Music for Airports.

its an ambient album that surpasses a 'lesser' ambient
album

i was much more pleased with aphex twins SAW 2, 85-92 just
didnt click with me.. moby's ambient has always been a good
listen on acid trips and boring days mind you.

my cock while fondling my balls. the smojphace ep is 20X
better than any of moby's CRAP.

SAW 2 is by far the greatest. I dont think it will ever be
surpassed.
i love the tracks:
Rhubard
Grass
Tree
Tessels

those are lush

I have to agree with revpersona on 76:14. I loved totally
loved 14:36 untill i discovered that this one friggin' sound
fucked up the song (the sound at about 5:36 and 5:58, hell
it's all over anyway, those are just two places where it can
be heard). Guess i still love it but it's and irritating
sound: Píúúú or pyheew or what ever.

But the album is very good on the whole imo.

I've been trying to get my hands on Music for Airports for
some time now. Haven't had the money and can't really
download from overseas because it costs me extra.

So i was wondering; is it really worth it?
Anything like An Ending (Ascent)?
If so i'm gonna buy it.

gosh, my first thread.. -sheds a tear-

once again i still think Mobys ambient conquers SAW 85-92.

fuck moby. he wasn't really imaginative. all his songs are
the same. 18 proved that... I thought they had given me his
first album instead.

haha, have you heard ambient. he wasnt the moby you think he
is now, he used to be talented, innovation, and never
sampled shit.
Ambient is beautiful, two piano and synth pieces, some dark
ambience with faded mantric chanting, some upbeat ambient
techno, some tribal drumatic ambience..
this album had it all.

there is a HUGE difference between SAW ambient and Brian Eno
ambient imo.

Moby is ok, nothing special.

SAWII is one of the best albums ever made, so I doubt Moby
could better it.

SAW 85-92 is a great album, but I'd not really consider it
ambient... SAW2 is more like it.

SAW 85-92 vs Ambient?...

I have to say, Ambient is a better album

But if we're comparing SAW II to ambient, thats a completely
different story.
