what a coinkydink, that's where i get all my posters too!
i've probably received 20 of them just for coming in the
store and making a purchase; turned around and sold two of
them, one for like $20. there will always be saps out there
who will pay for a free store poster.

Best thing to do is after a release has come and gone, ask
the store if they have any left over - or, when it's up, ask
them to put your name and # on the back or on a list and
call you when they get rid of it.

are you taking a cisco certification, or is that the
curriculum for a cisco 101 course?

Elusive-

Is your system water cooled? And if so did you do it
yourself or get a pre-installed case?

offline elusive from detroit (United States) on 2003-10-27 18:48 [#00921196]

i dont do ANY fucking certifications

dont even have my lame ass a+ yet, and I build worldwide
lan/wan infrastructure.

certs piss me off,

i have a ccna book i bought just to learn some picky cisco
details

and bough a network+ book so i know all the "little stupid
details" they ask on the test.

if an employer ever bitches about me not having certs (cough
my experience > certs cough) then I would act like a pimp
and go take however many certs they wanted me to take THAT
SAME FUCKING DAY.

no i dont watercool, i go to LAN parties too much to risk

dont mean to sound like im arrogant and "too good for certs"
but no way im wasting the money on stupid paper
certifications.

case-in-point: lots of high schools these days are teaching
CCNA courses.

My freshmen (college) friend last year was asking me what to
use as his gateway and how to configure it.

....and he has a ccna............

Ok, was just curious on the Watercooling aspect.

I'm building a new Gaming PC, and I've been looking for
opinions on Watercooling.

dont really need it unless you absolutely need NO noise.

overclocking? yeah you might get higher.

my drum heatsink fan is quiet as hell, and i have my 1.47GHz
amd tbred running at 2.4GHz.

Not bad for air (and quiet at that!)

Yeah, that's not too shabby at all!

I mainly want it so I can overclock my CPU and GPU. I just
picked up a Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb. yesterday, I just need to
order the rest from newegg.com

I don't trust myself building a Water Cooling system, so it
looks like I'll have to buy a pre-assembled one. It sucks
though it'll run me about $500+ from frozencpu.com

Have you heard of many people destroying their system due to
a leak or a bad setup? I'm looking to get a Koolance Case,
since they're supposedly one of the best.

Also, is it true that Intel allows you to OC up to 2% and
you'll still be under warranty?

There's a Sam Goody near cornell that gives out promo
posters all the time. They just have them in a big stack by
the door. 99.9% of the time, it's crap, but i once found a
hot shots II poster for the beta band.

who even KNOWS youre overclocking? so odn't worry about
that.

go with pre-fab watercooling, that way you know it's
designed wel and works (hate to say it, but i'd trust their
work over my own when it comes to water + computer parts,
lol)

i got that 9800pro 128mb, beautifullllll card to say the
least.

my friend has the koolance case and had 0 problems with it.
happy choosing.

Just out of curiosity, what would be a good wattage for the
power supply?

Would 350W be good enough, or should I look for something
higher?

And your friend that has the Koolance kit, he had to place
the GPU and Hard Drive Water Blocks correct?
