Sort of...

I have heard there are plans for an EP of Radiohead remixes
by up and coming hiphop and electronic producers and also
possibly the boys themself.

I am just wondering whether they will choose to include some
of the remix efforts from their site???

pretentious...they cant tell a difference between shit and
music anymore

radiohead are so overrated, they seem to be regarded as the
best band in the world right now... lol. Kid A was the only
half decent thing they have done.

people are always moaning about Trent Reznor's angsty lyrics
yet no-one ever says anything against Thom Yorke.

Radiohead aren't even in the top 10 best bands in the world
right now.

Never got into Pablo Honey, I loved The Bends and OK
Computer...didn't really like Kid A or Amnesiac...I liked
the I might be wrong EP and HTTT was OK. I just don't like
their "electronic" efforts...they sound laboured and shit.

I like radiohead very much
Although I can see why people call them pretentious

They still make damn good music.

offline Cheffe1979 from fuck (Austria) on 2003-10-23 13:08 [#00915307]

i can see that too, i'm not native english so maybe i cant
really judge the lyrics.

in german i do passionatly hate too pretentious indie shit

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2003-10-23 13:12 [#00915312]
Points: 4428 Status: Addict

lately i've been growing less and less interested in
listening to anything radiohead does outside of their vast
collection of bsides. probably says more about my taste in
music than the quality of their stuff, as i still think
they're capable of making great music. i was let down by
hail to the thief, but oh well, its got some good tracks.

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2003-10-23 13:14 [#00915314]
Points: 4428 Status: Addict

as far as their lyrics being pretentious, they've had their
fare share of garbage lyrics, but i don't really think its
pretentious at all. that word gets tossed around too much,
and radiohead is too often included in conversations
involving it.
i'm basically not interested in vocals anymore. the only
lyrics i pay any attention to are bjorks because they're
just ingenious.

autechre's new stuff is pretentious to the power of a
million. I can't believe i'm hearing this bullshit about
radiohead from people who supposedly love CRUD such as gantz
graf, confeld and draft 7.30.

I'll repeat that - it's CRUD. SHIT.

You have a point, redrum...while I did enjoy Draft 7.30, you
can't call Radiohead pretentious then say Autechre
aren't....

httt and draft 7.30 maybe originate from pretty similar
stages of evolution of the respective bands

subject of autechre.

do.

and btw I 'do' like some Radiohead, I just think there are
lots of better artists out there.

fair play to them for trying something different though, not
many bands have the guts to be really creative.

radiohead aren't popular. maybe more so than clicks n' shits

Radiohead is also number 1 on the global rankings for
Soulseek, Aphex twin is 2nd, but by quite a bit less
