This is the best track I've posted up here to date in many
ways, no practicing drum and bass or styles or drums... just
solid enjoyment making this thing

I have a plan for the end, but it requires getting the
perfect quote, I will search for it the rest of the night...
for now, just enjoy!

Riding a Windmill

Yet another night staying up doing music... I'm so screwed
tomorrow, need to finish my physics homework now... bleh

:) what the heck, just d/l-ed it at work

i like this man, cool melody line, nice chords, very
chilled.
the percussion is build up well too, only gets a bit boring
after a while maybe

overall i like it, keep it up , it's decent work :)

Yeah i really liked the synth lines but i think yhey should
of been a bit higher up in the mix, but i thought that it
was a very nice track to listen to. It kind of reminded me
of music to a kids program about maths which i found
strangley comforting.

: )

Yeah, I have plans for the end of the piece to give it more
of a kick... I spent most of the night trying to find the
perfect quote, but it just didn't happen. Tomorrow I guess
I'll remix. That drum line took me at least 3 hours to put
together, making the drums sounds sound the same
spacially... I'm exhausted, time for sleep

Glad you both liked it!

i like it , remind me Plone , Plaid a bit... i rather like
melodies and backgrounds , thjough i think that beat and
those little sounds are too loud - you could really show
power of ambient background here - its good anyway.
and iml suprised by technical level of track.

The mastering is definitly a bit off, will fix early
tomorrow, couldn't use my monitors since it was so late

If anyone has any tracks up they want some reviewing action
to, just lemme know

Find the thread a collaboration between me and skink.

It's a track me and oddio did together.

Very nice stuff. Perhaps a little too long, and I'm not keen
on that background synth at 1.45-ish. Otherwise, I like it a
lot.

i think the length of the track is perfect, but i'm not into
a few of those synths. the little distorted one and the
warbly one at the break in the middle kind of bother me.
but otherwise it's a very good track! great drum
programming, too.

i'm not crazy about the hissy snaresnap sound at the
beginning and on top of the snare sound. at first the
melody sounds like an electronic cover of a theme song for a
comedy/drama television show about college students
struggling to become social workers. i never really liked
that show, so it's hard to relate. the squeaky synth
doesn't work for me. for me, it all comes together at about
four minutes, and from there on, the melodic theme is
clearly and concisely expressed without unnecessary
noodling, buoyed by the posthiphop perc. nice.

if you'd like to listen/comment on something recent, check

the capture house

this track was originally part of a thread asking for
halloween tracks from people, which you can resurrect for
comments if you want (search for halloween), especially if
you'd like to contribute a halloween track.
