I had problem with driver - i told it once. So i contact technical support for compaq laptops , and they said that theres no possibility to get this driver from web !! how can it be ? such a big company - so small driver , it was driver for Radeon, funny... i had to do system restore , it solved the problem but also it erased all data , including mp3 , films and such. |

no no ive searched the web for one week for it. its no a problem now but i wanted to warn anyone who want to buy something from compaq , specially notebook's. |

I've heard that compaq has had problems with customer service in the past. Still, always remember to back up your data so you dont lose it if you have to do a system restore. |

ugh, i wouldnt buy from dell if my life depended on it... sorry, they might in fact make good cpu's, but their adds have always been the single most annoying ones on tv. i just couldnt go through with it. plus then i just KNOW everyone i knew would make that lame joke for weeks before it arrived. you know the one. |

i know a guy that is working in computer service of some kind , hes selling monitors , but what he is doing is sticking labels of "sony" on these monitors. not very fine , i think. |

Dell had a series of supremely annoying commercials wherein their geeky/irritating pitchman used the tagline "Dude, you're getting a *DELL*!!!" That's the one, Ceri. Be glad you weren't bombarded with them. |

compaq laptops blow for the most part. they didn't used to (my first computer ever was a compaq laptop), but over the last 5 years they've just gone down hill. you really can't beat toshiba when it comes to dependability and reliability in a notebook. |
