banco de gia is a trance and psy-trance artist. I thought bible of dreams was a decent release but that style in general tends to run dry. I think the champs of the psy-trance movement are Hallucinogen and Process. For a tasy treat, dl: Beast(TWST666) - 01 - Spawn. =>

check out Banco's website. You will find pretty cool stuff there (audio/video). BdG is one artist called Toby Marks. And I recommend every stuff of him. Especially the album called Maya, and Last Train To Lhasa. Anyway it is more into ambient as the so-called psy-trance.

Pi is simply the best movie I've ever seen. For chirst's sake, he gives himself a lob****y (don't want to give it away)! It is fantastic. Watch it as soon as you get a chance.

is it just me or does it seem like "pi" is basically any aphex twin fan's favorite movie? don't get me wrong, it was the first movie i watched where i was absolutely glued to the set, and i have a friend who claimed to have watched it three times in a row when he first discovered it (and i believe him, he's crazy enough to have done so). darren arronofsky is setting up quite the track record though: "pi," "requiem for a dream," "batman 5"

I dunno. I am more of a µ-Ziq fan than an Aphex fan, but how many movies does that happen? It is really great!

Banco de Gaia released his "Best of"... Oh boy! 2 discs of continuous mixing of his greatest stuff, but it looks like he has ended making music or something. Is releasing the Best of is like having an end? That'd be baaaad. I don't want to him to stop making music, though his latest LPs were not that big as "Maya" or "Last Train to Lhasa".

I should look for that release. I also hope he doesn't stop making music, I'm a big fan of him and Loop Guru.

I used to listen to Banco De Gaia quite a lot in the 94 ish era, even saw him live a couple of times. Nice stuff but not what i'm really into anymore, a bit too trancedance for my tastes now... Anyone remember Eat Static?

Toby appears to still be gigging.
He played Derby around a month ago. £10 a ticket for a gig in a pub. I'm cheap, so I didn't go.
Last time I saw him was around '93 - supported by Childen of the Bong.

diablo, tunemx,
I remember Eat Static. Jeeze I was really into them back in '93. Alongside Aphex and others they came out of Ozric Tentacles. Again probably not what I'd listen to now but you know its part of my history so listening to Eat Static now would probably bring a tear to my eye (well not quite but you get my drift).

I personally think 1994's Maya is a classic.
If you're looking for an album to love by Banco de Gaia, that's the one IMHO.
