There's a bit of a "problem" at the moment with a large number of new users who are spamming their tracks...
There have even been a few whose first post has been "hello, listen to my music: URL". There was a lengthy thread on this discussion and whilst some people felt differently, the majority seemed to resent people who never post here asking for feedback on their tracks. Certainly, don't spend hours just getting points here so people will listen to your stuff, but hang around for a month or so, so people at least recognise your name and you'll find you get a lot more responses.
Also, if people have dled your stuff before and enjoyed it they'll be more inclined to dl and comment on future stuff. Stick around for six months and don't link to new tracks on a daily basis and you'll find people far more willing to listen.

ahhhh ok cool man. Its just i thought that this was board for music makers but as ive found out loads of people dont make music which is fine.
have you got any suggestions for a board which is aimed more at artists sharing music?

It is primarily a board for the discussion of music, but mainly released stuff. By all means let people hear your stuff, but just bear in mind that's not the main focus of the board :)
BTW, I tried to DL your track and it says, "Please be patient!
This download hasn't been cleared yet. Please check back tomorrow.
SoundClick home" Tefosav.co.uk are a bit more focused purely on music making, but don't feel you have to leave here. The main thing we identified in the recent discussion was that if you comment on other users tracks, at least those people will be inclined to listen to yours, it's "give and take"...

I think it's great people share their work like this...
BUT....it would be nice if it wasn't everyother thread...
XLT compliations seem a far better idea, or maybe just a single (or a few more) thread, devoted to tunes & getting feedback....
Welcome, stilaktive BTW....good to have you aboard, we're a friendly bunch at heart...

I always hate the "everything-in-one-thread" idea - if I see a thread is 200+ replies (and this would be one big mother!!) I don't feel much inclined to open it.

I like quite a few sounds in the beginning - the crackly things.
the bassline made me laugh which is good. :)
that kind of cowbell-thing is ugly as hell. really makes it sound kind of bland. it's all over the place!
in the end the whole thing sounds kind of clunky, it misses flow, so to speak.
it sounds too assembled - I can almost see the little blocks in floops, or any other sequencer really.
