just a question though... there was one bid there already at like 4.00, and so I set my max bid for 10.00... then it said my bid was like 8:49 or something... I thought when you set your max, e-bay would automatically just increase your bid by the minimum increment (which was like 25 cents or something) until it reached the max... why did it jump to 8.49?

The more the price goes up the more the increment goes up

PLus if another person has et their limit to 7.99 and you stick your limit at 10.00 and there is a .50 increment it will jump straight to 8.49 init...

oh, is that how it works? Maybe you're right... shrug, this is my first try at using it... I just figured that the current bid was at 4.00, and the increments were like 25 cents, so if I set my max to 10.00 my first bid would be 4.25, and would increase by 25 cents over the current bid up to my maximum... hmmm... not that I really mind anyways, it's only a few bucks, but still...

yeah, that makes sense... but the current bid was 4.00... I don't see the increments increasing so dramatically to over twice the current bid... :)

yeah, that does make sense though... if someone sets there limit to 7.99, then e-bay will automatically increase their bids too, so setting the current bid to 8.50 would eliminate that person... yeah, that must be it...

i thought it automatically raised with 50 cents or so, so when the price is 3,50 and you want to pay no more than 5 you should set you max on 5,05, or 5,10 in case some other fucker is just as smart as you, that's how i win, dont forget you have to pay for the shipping too
