APHEX MELODY

\/\/ooÆ’erAttack!!! from Milan on 2001-04-21 11:59 [#00004129]

I like very very much the RDJ melody! I'm looking to know
every AFX song with special melody.
Please help me to know every song he did with special
sound.

For special melody I mean: ARCHED MAID VIA RDJ (it's
wonderful), GIRL BOY SONG, HELIOSPHAN, .215061, FINGERBIB,
POLYGON WINDOW, LUKE JEDI IS ON THE ROMANCE TIP, etc...
etc...

Do you have some other song to suggest?

(P.S. I haven't the album SAW VOL.II)

Thanx

Khotex is like 18 seconds, its got melody and its silly

[REFLEX] from Canada on 2001-04-21 18:49 [#00004143]

Alberto Balsam.... uhm, there are lots... ill have to go
look hmm..

5is6 from centeroftheultraworld on 2001-04-22 09:17 [#00004172]

As already stated by REFLEX, Alberto Balsam is one of the
most melodic peices Aphex has ever done. One of my alltime
favorit songs. Nanou is also a great peice with a classical
feel to it. Plus its a great concept song with the melody
being played by a sample of a music box. The rhythm is
supplied by the music box's winder and a tapping sound on
the top of the box. I've heard he's done many a song like
this including a soda can track with various samples of
aluminum. Gotta love the guy.

[REFLEX] from Canada on 2001-04-22 09:28 [#00004175]

5is6: yes, it is one the most melodic songs he has ever done
by far. I mean, the way everything works together.. kinda of
like a swing yo know? just back and forth, back and forth,
always to the beat, perfectly done. as some brits might say,
SMASHING TrAcK!

5is6 from centeroftheultraworld on 2001-04-22 09:56 [#00004179]

REFLEX: ..and that heavy trashcan bashing reverberated
breakdown in the middle of the song... Could we ask for
anything more? I'm once again compelled to sucker myself
into rubbing some gooey Alberto shampoo through my
golden-blonde locks(well not exactly golden-blonde... or
lock for that matter).

[REFLEX] from Canada on 2001-04-22 10:40 [#00004186]

5is6: yah no doubt.. its 3:30 in the morning here, and im
listening to that song.. damn its good! yes that breakdown
in there .. soooooo nice. so nice indeed. If he ever comes
out with something new I hope there is a track like that
one.

od from australia on 2001-04-22 15:12 [#00004199]

this has little to do with it but the start of laughably
butane bob goes d#,d,c
and i forget the rest.

LeMoN on 2001-04-22 17:53 [#00004208]

Fingerbib is another great melody without being too harsh,
at least compared to some of the stuff on the RDJ
album...Flim is probbaly my favorite melodic piece by Aphex
that I have ever heard anyways...

5is6 from centeroftheultraworld on 2001-04-22 19:14 [#00004213]

Actually, one of the most moving string arrangements I think
hes done is on Peek off RDJ Album. The first time I heard
it, I thought of ascending to a devine state of
counciousness. It was revolutionary. And then one the song
came to a close, it was fingerbib that guided my decension
back to a Japanese type reality.

Ramalpha84 from New Zealand (www.mp3.com/aureus) on 2001-04-23 08:01 [#00004230]

Mmmmm... Flim...

I can't hold it in any more. I don't like Alberto balsalm. I
don't hate it, I just don't particularly like all the
melodies, and I find the tapping on the metal thingy sound
is quite annoying.

Flim is pure awesomeness.

\/\/ooÆ’erAttack!!! from Milan on 2001-04-23 11:28 [#00004250]

Flim, Nannou, Alberto Balsam, IZ-US, etc... etc... are
beautiful song with a good melody.

But When I say special melody I intend something different.

The Lunar Sound of Heliosphan is special.

The Classic Music Sound of GIRL BOY SONG, GOON GUMPAS,
YELLOW CALX is special.

ARCHED MAID VIA RDJ and EVERYDAY are really DEEP SONGS.

When I listen these songs It's like an orchestra of sound
that make me dream.

It's difficult to explain, but I find a big difference about
Melody of Nannou/Flim/Iz-Us (maybe more simple and
repetitive) and melody of ARCHED MAID.../GIRL BOY SONG,
HELIOSPHAN, etc...

This is my opinion.
