Hello users!
I was wondering if anyone could offer advice to decompress an XVID file that i have. I would like to make it a .mpeg but my usual program "VirtualDub" doesn't support any XVID files.
Is there another way to do this?
thanks

I just got this message after installing GordonKnot codec package:
One or more of the "DivX" drivers have been detected on your system. These drivers are illegal binary hacks of legitimate drivers:
* DivX low motion/fast motion: Microsoft MPEG-4 V3 video * DivX audio: Microsoft Windows Media Audio * "Radium" MP3: Fraunhofer-IIS MPEG layer III audio
Hacked drivers are known to cause serious problems, including crashes and interference with the original drivers. When these drivers are loaded, the author cannot make any guarantees as to the stability of VirtualDub. Please do not forward crash dumps involving these drivers, as the author has no control of the original third-party drivers or the binary hacks applied to them.
This is only a warning. Aside from bug workarounds and warnings, VirtualDub does not take further action in response to DivX being loaded.

Is this something I should be concerned with? Or should i just run this as business as usual?

Actually installing the installing GordonKnot codec package was the key to solving my problems. I am assembling what I need to now!
Thanks nlogax!

VCD's resolution is only supposed to be 352x240 in mpeg-1 format.
