I would give you an honest opinion, but I dunno anything
about any of what you posted...but the last time you posted
somthing like this noone responded so I thought I would give
you at least one response although someone will probably
respond with a much more useful response than this.

its not a matter of what others are doing

which ones are more flexible... which ones are the best
value for the money

just wanted some input from my hommies

i had a mess around with the virus.. its also great but if
you ask me, doesnt quite have the balls of nord

really? Cause I feel the virus can sound alot more
aggressive...

more of like a crunch to it

*shrug*

I dont know... a big plus is that the virus has alot of
effects on it... and you can also apply those effects to an
external sound source.

sweet.

yeah that is true about the effects..

im asking about this over at watmm too, and someone said
that while nice sounding... the virus is alittle too unique
sounding... and so everything you do sounds like the "virus"
sound

do you think thats true?

So far, most people have told me to go for the Nord 2

which is kinda sweet... cause I can get a nord 2 for like
3-400 bucks

opposed to the 1500 for the Virus C tabletop

if you are gonna be using it for producing only and use with
your mac - you may aswell get the rackmount version - its
cheaper and you can just use your mac for sequencing

The nord is tits in the mouth. If you get a nord you should
get the keyboard version cause the pitch bender is not to be
fucked with. Best in the biz.... no dead spots! The virus
is great as well but I wouldn't really worry about the
effects cause most inboard effects suck balls, sound cool at
first but get old fast. Really just comes down to personal
choice but for the price I think the Nord is the way to go.
Might wanna look into a modular, I would say the modular is
more flexible then the others.

thats exactly how i felt about the virus. it has that samey
problem that so much new gear does..

yet while i expected the nord to be like that, i thought it
had quite amazing depth

nord modular definately has harder envelopes, the attack
phases are very fast.
