I'd love to add that Prefuse's remix of "360 degrees,
featuring Del and Mr Lif" has beat perfection

if it's not a legal issue on the board here i would love to
upload it for folks to listen to cause it is quite the juicy
track with juicy prefuse beats

If you liked wavetwisters, try to check out "Fingathing"
live- a turntabilist and a double bass player and they do
all their stuff in time to the cartoons that their VJ
provides. It's like watching a "live" version of
wavetwisters.

Saw him in Austin late last semester and he was amazing..
I am seeing him again Wednesday in Austin with a friend, and
needless to say we will both be wearing duct tape
bracelets...

how does he preform? are there actual instruments? or is it
just a computer?

offline uviol from United States on 2003-10-12 01:27 [#00899121]

When I saw him with was performing with a friend.. he had a
neat setup. It was mainly laptop oriented, (and I'm no
gearwhore..) but he also had a keyboard or two, a mixer,
possibly a sampler (?) and a turntable. His friend seemed
to be managing the scratching and he would do other stuff
like bang out improvised beats on the sampler, etc. I know
I could be wrong about what the equipment was, like I said I
know very little about software, but this is what it looked
like to me. Either way, the show was exciting, energetic,
and intriguing from the first moment to the last.

Some of the characters that feature in their visuals are on
the website:
http://www.fingathing.com/art.asp

I see they're in the USA at the moment, good that they're
touring outside the UK. If they're near you, check them
out.

Hope you enjoyed kill bill :)

thatd be tight and all to get extinguisher signed but i
always hate seeming like the OH SHIT I WANT YOUR AUTOGRAPH
type -- that is totally gay -- i prefer to exchange a short
minimalist dialogue -- that is autographical enough you know
what im saying?

its like "i want you to know that i buy your cd's, and im
glad you are doing what you are doing" -- thats the only
message i want to get across.

i get pissed when cunts (most often women) arrive and
conduct themselves like -- "you are the most talented artist
i have ever heard, the illusions in the sounds you create
are fascinating -- and i felt a sense of warmth from X sound
and X that --- etc

... yeah please go get a life and when you get one commit
suicide thank you for the children?

yeah but not everyone does that I just went "Oh shit man
this album is tight can you sign it" and he went "yeah man
no problem" and then I went "oi lemme give you th9is aswell
for the hwell of it" and gave him the cd and he was all
"Cool something to listen to on the plane" or sumn
