The Beer Thread (now drinking)

I figured since we have a now playing thread and a now
reading thread it would be cool to have a thread for those
of us who enjoy beer!

I am interested in getting suggestions from those interested
because we have such a diverse variety of people from around
the world.

what do you think.....?

The most recent beer i had was

Sam Adams - Creamy Stout

I am relatively new to stouts as i have only been 21 for a
month. But as far as this one goes i think it had a nice
delicious rich and robust flavor.

Although after awhile i needed variety.

There's a pretty good beer rating site, i'll try to find the
url.

Belgian beer seems to consitantly come out on top

which is why i went out and bought

Youngs - Double Chocolate Extra Stout

Which in my opinion was better than the Adams. It wasn't so
bold in flavor but was more mild and subtle IMO. A
preference when it comes to Stouts thus far.

I am currently drinking Lemon-Lime Gatorade. No liquor for
me at 2:40 in the afternoon.

I drank a bunch of Captain Morgan shots this weekend.
That's my favorite liquor.

I don't like beer. This should be a general now-drinking
thread, not just beer.

toss the directions up here!

Alcohol only I think, not very exciting if someone's
guzzling lemonade.

I am drinking a can of Carling. It's the cheapest form of
decent beer around really. 4%. It takes about 18 cans of it
to get me pissed, but only about 9 pints (dunno why).

My favourite beers are Newcastle Brown Ale and Stella, my
favourite spirits are Smirnoff and Jose Guervo.

yeah man, i live in the town where they make Stella Artois,
sometimes you can really smell it miles away.

Today i drank a few dark strong beers wich where free at a
cooking demonstration we went to with school,
you get pretty drunk from that stuff.

i also drink Desperados(tequila with beer) and Corona

I really like this one.
let's break it down:
Beer = good (when done properly)
Chocolate = good (pretty much always)
Beer + Chocolate = me on the floor with brown foam coming
out of my mouth.

Lindeman's Framboise Lambic (Belgian)
Orval Trappist Ale (Belgian)
Caffrey's (Irish)
Thomas Hardy Ale (UK)
Weinhard's Ale (USA)

I only have Weinhards in the fridge right now though. Some
of these are tough to find in the States.

If you like stouts and live outside Ireland, try Murphy's.
It seems to travel better than Guinness.
