I have to admit a Cubs - Red Sox series would be a dream
come true.

I love all sports - but MLB playoffs are probably the best
thing in the entire world.

Go Sox - Go Cubs.

yeah cubs-sox would be awesome, altho being a
soxfan/yankhater, that would be awesome too, albeit more
difficult to pull off for the sox. as my math teacher said
"what would happen if there was a cubs-sox world series,
last game, bottom of the 9th, bases loaded, full count? the
world would come to an end"

Go SOX!

It's a good day to live in Boston!
Pats looked good too.

If the sox win tomorrow people are gonna go nuts!

Cubs first and foremost, but after them comes the Oakland
A's.

Always been a sucker for good pitching and Zito, Mulder, and
Hudson are some of the best in the business...even though
Mulder is injured this year.

Gogogogogogo Cubs!

Yes and tonight the Red Sox look to pull it out in
Oakland...

"what would happen if there was a cubs-sox world series,
last game, bottom of the 9th, bases loaded, full count? the

world would come to an end"

The end is neigh

Lets go Habs!

I don't like baseball too much, but the Red Sox and Cubs
stories are nice ones... very similar to the New York
Rangers of 1994, who hadn't won a Stanley Cup in well over
50 years but went all the way. But Boston's streak of
mediocrity is even LONGER, isn't it?

It'd be morbidly funny if the Red Sox lost in game 7 of the
World Series. *snicker

The Cubs have the longest streak of being screwed out from
Going to the World Series and Winning the World Series.

1908(won) and 1945(lost) respectively. It's time they won
it all this year, they've been out longer than the Redsoxs.

Hahahahahahahahaahaha, oh my God, seeing Pedro Martinez
throw down Don Zimmerman was absolute GOLD! This series has
lived up to the hype. It's like Jerry Springer.

This is a bad night if you're a New Yorker. The Staten
Island ferry crashes and kills 10 people, and the sox rally
to beat the yanks. :/

I'm on the South Shore in Weymouth, the shittiest place on
earth, well... almost as shitty as Revere.

Don't worry I'll keep my hootin' and a hollerin' to my home
town. That will teach them.

I think the Red Sox are going to lose... because I'm
cheering for them. Whoever I'm cheering for invariably loses
in the post season.

Cubs got beat tonight. As a hardcore sports can, I can only
IMAGINE the horror their fans are going through... what a
fucking choke that was. 1945 was the last time they won a
playoff series before this. Horrific loss!

If my Montreal Canadiens came within a game of the Stanley
Cup Finals, I'd cry myself to sleep for a weak and maybe
hang myself. And it's only been 10 years since they won a
championship. I can't imagine the insane curses on the Sox
and Cubs.

Yeah, i feel bad for the cubbies and their fans. I wanted
to see a cubs/red sox series so bad. I just hope the sox
come through tomorrow.
