Try something by Archie Shepp or Pharoah Sanders, or even
Frank Zappa's jazzy works

Free jazz? The Mail on Sunday had a free CD of nice, tuneful
jazz the other week.

My Favorites:

1. John Coltrane - Stellar Regions

2. John Coltrane - Interstellar Space (Mindblowing)

Both of these albums are very late era Coltrane, recorded
just months before his death. Somewhat different from the
early to mid-late era material. I also recommend Albert
Ayler's Love Cry and Live in Greenwich Village.

i recommend two albums by Weather Report, namely Weather
Report (1971) and I Sing The Body Electric.

the first album is more of a Davis-style thing, the second
one is a bit more consistent and absolutely amazing.
