Q for Flash nerds

Do any of you Flash experts out there know the best way of
"vectorising" movie files so as to produce a silhouetted
version for animation?

I've seen some examples of this on the web but have no idea
how it's done, beyond hours of painstaking labour.

what do you meen by silhouetted? you meen shadows?

i would turn all your objects into graphics, then you can
double them up and play around with the opacity.

By silhouette I mean outline.

So if I have a video of me doing a funny little dance, for
example, I want to create a vector outline/Flash movie of me
doing the dance. Presumably I would need to be against a
high-contrast background for this to work. But the thought
of producing an outline for just one frame is painful, let
alone a whole clip.

yeah, you would do that with action script im sure.

the flash interface is really very limited when compared to
actionscripting.

i'm sure it would be possible to do this through
actionscript. but, i'm not nearly enough of guru to attempt
it.

if i HAD to do this i'm pretty sure i'd have to trace bitmap
frame by frame.

but, HERE

if you're good enough at actionscript to understand what's
going on in that thread, i'm sure it is possible for you to
create a silhouette through AS.

g'luck
