CD packaging...

I just got back from my trip in the city, where I picked up
two new discs...

-The Future Sound Of London: Dead Cities
-Lemon Jelly: Lemon Jelly.ky

So, anyway, I kind of didn't expect Dead Cities to have a
black case instead of a clear jewel-case, especially with
their artwork being so good and all.

Also, the words on yhe spine of the CD are upside down, so
it looks crap when you store it...

Is this just my copy? Or is everyone's copy like this?

Any help appreciated! ;-D

I haven't heard Lemon Jelly yet...

It was sort of an impulse buy, and because it was real
cheap. Any good?

Same here.

I hate that! How stupid can you be to put it upside down!

dead cities originally came with a cd size book and fitted
into a sort-of box with the cd

lemon jelly artwork is possibly the best artwork ive seen
for a cd

My Dead Cities is clear too, as well as the spine text being
upside down, as is the text on the spine of my SAW 85-92.

Anyway, what I really hate these days are those cardboard
sleeves that go over a jewel case.
When I recently bought Bitches Brew I threw the stupid
sleeve away.

I have the one with the book, so it stores separately.
My Black Dog Bytes is upside down

Yeah, Lemon Jelly packaging/artwork is unique. A lot
of care and effort and whatever goes into it - it's one of
the band who does it (he was originally a graphic designer
by trade, I think?).

Spiritualized have a similar attention to detail. You gotta
love nice packaging!
