ow do,
ok, so say i've got what i think is a high quality 4 track
demo burnt to CD.

what next???

my plan is 100 blank cd's, 100 blank envelopes, 100 stamps,
100 adresses of labels in Europe. Burn to disc and send.

what do you think??

any suggestions??

Make sure you have atleast 20+ tracks at home. Most labels
want to hear more, alot more, unless it's bloody brilliant
from the start.

Be sure to mail it to lots of small labels- they're the ones
mosyt likely to give you feedback/ask to hear more.

cheers,

its gonna be goingto the small labels mainly, will probly
just put 10 aside for sending to well known labels, i'll be
very pleased with a 10% reaction.
but i've got alot of confidence in the tunes, so i'm
hopefull.
as for DIY, i havnt got the cash to front it, just sendin
this demo is gonna cost 150 euros, and thats a struggle.
I want it on vynil so the price to fund it myself is just
too much

I think the future of demos is through the internet. I mean
seriously it so costly and a timely sending stuff by snail
mail. I think that game is over. I've heard great music on
the internet and quite frankly the big labels I just don't
believe are interested in new demos anymore. I think the
future is really DIY promotion with people you know etc.
Remember Rephlex turned down BOC so the music could be top
draw and it wont make much difference. Just my 2 cents.
