What are some of them?
I Mother Earth - Scenery and Fish - I used to adore this album... it's funky, and catchy and all that... kinda like Red Hot Chili Peppers really... nice heavy bass in it... I still remember playing air bass to this, and dreaming of playing real bass in my own band! Still rocks! :)
Matthew Good Band - Underdogs - this cd is so good... strangely it's linked to Buffy the Vampire Slayer in that every time I play it I think of the show... great pop rock songs on here, and it was one of my favorites in high school!
Third Eye Blind - Third Eye Blind - I know Uviol is with me on this one... hehe, great catchy pop rock album... lots o memories here from my years in high school... lots o good memories... I actually first heard this cd when I went on a trip to Chicago one time, and my brother owned it... so I always remember that trip... which kicked ass!! :)
ok, lets hear some of your peoples old favorite cds!

Scenery and Fish, I remember that! I liked that colorful astronaut themed video where the guy cut his toe. I was pretty into I Mother Earth for a bit there.
Hmmm... I loved (and still do) Green Day's Dookie, it's been years since I've listened. And I haven't listened to Jimi Hendrix in a long, long time. Too much music, too little time. I'm sorry Jimi.

Hell yeah, Funk.. my TEB brotha. That album is great, I still listen to it.
Another, even more embrarrassing, would be Aqua - Aquarium. Listened to this yesterday and today for a bit. man, this is total crap but back in the day I thought it was genius. Oh well, it's nostalgic anyway.
Tri Repetae and the RDJ LP also have some nostalgic value simply because they were my first exposure to IDM.

the new singer for IME is a fellow Newfie... although I don't like his voice at all... just played Scenery and Fish in the car, and it's awesome!! Like Santana mixed with The Red Hot Chili Peppers... cool stuff!

well......just yesterday i was listening to a Bach CD that i probably havn't listened to in 5 years.
i really enjoyed it, and wondered why it's been so long.....then i looked at all my 100's of CD's and then i knew.....it's impossible to have all your CD's w/in easy reach to listen to.....so some GREAT ones just don't get listened to as often =/
anyway i'm glad i put it in, it was great!

a good topic, thank you Funkmaster. some of my 'oldies':
Def Leppard - Hysteria. oh, i used to love it immensely. actually, it was the first CD i bought, and i still remember that feeling... still consider this album to be the best pop-rock ever.
Carcass - Heartwork ...here's some of the best melodic grind-core !!! :D
Soundgarden - Superunknown. this album is still one of the rock treasures in my CD collection.

So many memories. Happy days, they were. Jumpers for goalposts. Getting lifted over the turnstyles at football. Chorlton and the wheelies. Clackers. diddlyboppers. Weren't they great?? Splicer bars - they were cool. Like a big opal fruit bar. But you don't even get opal fruits these days - they're called starburst. Bastard americans, they ruin everything. Remember when snickers were called marathon? What the FUCK WAS WRONG WITH THE NAME MARATHON?????? SOMEONE TELL ME THAT ??????? EH????? YOU CAN'T, CAN YOU? BASTARDS!

Well you can't run marathons eating those things, hence Snickers. I thought it was a good idea and promotes healthy eating.
On a related topic, this new campaign on low tar cigarettes is also a good thing and puts paid to the myth that they are better for you.

yeah, '...And Justice For All' is an awesome album, absolutely! it had a big impact on me. actually, it's still my fav by Metallica... haven't listened to it for a long time, cause i simply know it by heart... one of the things making this album unique is that 'delicious' drum sound. Lars did a great job here. i feel much respect for his work.
