read this

....(taken from this link)..."Tom embarked on a frantic mix
of old and new tracks, taken from his forthcoming
album".......

Yes...he did play lots of new stuff, and hopefully this
'stuff' that I mention will form the basis of a new
album...because it was absolutely firing...

i hope that this album is absolutely nothing like his show
in toronto, because it was pure, unbridled shit. if it
is what his new album is...you couldn't pay to
me use the disc as a coaster.

Yep as I was saying I can't wait to download it for free if
he does release a new album...it will sort of make up for
the money I spent on buying the shite that was Go Plastic.

see, i guess i'm more for his..."music" as opposed to
whatever the hell happened that night at the phoenix.

When I saw him in Liverpool he was amazing. The solo bass
things seemed a little pretentious at times, but the fool
was SOOO into the performance that I came away with a
totally new appreciation for him.

it was a gigantic wank-fest in toronto.

i found myself wanting to leave, actually. which was a
shame, because i flew all the way out there from calgary
just to see the show. oh well. the mu-ziq show was awesome.
very tasty. and that makes up for it.

Imagine Go Plastic fused with the funkyness of early stuff
like Big Loada and that is what the new stuff sounds like
:D!

life

It was faster than anything other than Journey To Reedham.

i want budakhan mindphone part 2.

exploding psychology and the car song were the only ones i
liked off go plastic. that was a disappointing purchase.

on that note, i've NEVER seen information on amon tobin
tours. do they occur, and if so do they occur in the US?

why do you all want him to repeat what he already done?..i
would like to see him doing something new..and not just
something that we heard on big loada (which i dont
understand why ppl think its so great) or something..

He played a whole lot of fucking new stuff in montreal.
Luckly I bootlegged it with a shitty hand recorder : )

I havent made mp3s, ill get right on that !

I didn't say it sounded like Big Loada part two...I said it
sounded like a fusion of Big Loada mixed with Go Plastic,
and just because you didn't like Big Loada it doesn't mean
it isn't worthy of a follow up style release anyway.

Go Plastic was mostly crap because it lost the jazzy feeling
replaced with nothing more than dull spastic beats. His new
stuff is a progression, it is just easier to describe in
terms of previous releases.

jesus ambsace ! hahaha was that before or after the montreal
show ?

We were talking after and I told him how much his new stuff
rocked and he didnt take the compliment to well. I think its
because I said "I love the new shit" and the guy though I
ment it was shit hahaha.

He was like "well , yeah , err..." and hung his head : ã

i was refering more to kochlear's post..
aaaanyways...
i liked go plastic..but a jazzier feel to the new stuff
wouldnt be bad at all..DYKS was excellent (the song)..a mix
of that would be kewl...

Nah I don't reckon he will have thought you meant it was
shit...I reckon he is just quite shy when he isn't on stage
shouting "MAKE SOME FUCKIN NOISE!"

i'm a bit more curious to get the idea what Tom's upcoming
stuff will be like than to actually hear it...

but i'll accept anything he will ever release! my love for
Squarepusher seems to be absolutely unconditional...and
blind :D

Yes, it was great hearing him live. I think he did a lot of
improvisations at Ocean. But it was all top quality stuff.

the crowd and shouted "Fuck the fucking screen!" before
improvising on his bass"

for my one cent, i couldn't get into the SP show as much as
i could when i saw him a smaller venue. i mean the godrock
energy was definitly there (my lady had to check out caus
the light were giving her brain problems. the sound system
was crap to begin with, but i did feel like he was blowing
everything up at the cost of any type of grooving. he had
endurance on that bass, but the talent wasn't as east to
detect.
mostly though i just couldn't deal with everyone standing
around gawking...
luke vibert was pretty good, got me moving. after seeing him
a bunch of time on decks, it was interesting to see him
doing his laptop. the highlight was this tweeked out
version of the humpty dance where some big bootied girl
crashed the stage, and he barely flinched.
