the Myst trilogy (Myst, Riven and Exile), Crystal Key and
Schizm...I LOVE these kinds of games. I guess they would be
called "adventure games", I'm not sure of the exact term...

Anyway, does anyone else like these puzzly games, and if so,
any to recommend?

i believe the correct term is "point 'n click
adventure".....?

i also am a fan of the genre, next to RPGs,
Adventure/Action, and Fighter/Strategy/Puzzle....

preferred platform games and racing games :)

There was this super cool Addam's Family game for the NES.

REAL adventure games:

Monkey Island 1, 2, 3 (my favorite games of all time. im not
counting 4 because i got bored of it and never finished
it... just didnt have the same magic as the others did and
still do)

Full Throttle (good voice acting and visuals for an older
game, great story, its a god damn shame LucasArts pulled the
plug on the sequel so late in development... I lost all
fucking respect for LucasArts in the past year)

The Longest Journey (this one is pretty new actually, got a
really good really deep story and great locations and
premise)

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the fathers (this one is GREAT...
gabriels a private dick who's looking for info on suspicious
voodoo murders during mardi gras... really great story)
--
on the flip side I wouldnt even call MYST or any of its
affiliates adventures games at all.... more like puzzle
games. They get real boring real fast for me.

does anyone remember 'beneath a steel sky'? probably the
first game of this type i played.

Flashback was another awesome game, shame they can't get
some of these classics onto the GBA.
