after choosing to create a Mixdown of a .session in Adobe
Audition:

"This project needs to be saved so that the Project Link
data can be embedded into the mixdown file for the Adobe
Edit Original funcionality.
Save changes to [file path/name]?"

It simply is saying it's saving it so you can maintain the
flexibility of reverting back to the original file or make
extensive edits without quality loss.

Just D/L'ed the ISOs of Audition... it rocks! :)
