my current projects (for those interested)

One of my current musical projects is the new
Junktion-release, which will feature a lot of pepped-up old
demos. A bit drill'ish, a bit chill'ish and a lot like some
fucked up tracks.
It will be better produced and put together than "Press
repeat to continue", but on the other hand, that wasn't much
more than an experiment anyway. This new release will
be the last release under the name Junktion.

My second project is a little more tricky and slow moving.
It's based mainly on a lounge-mood mixed with some BoC'ish
feeling. A bit afraid I will release it and people will ask
"is this the new Boards of Canada?", 'cause I really suck on
inspiration from them. But I also picked up ideas from other
artists like the slow stuff Chris Clark and Autechre has
produced.
This will go under the name Sean Junk, and will be a mixture
of heaven and hell in slow motion. Probly will start out
with a demo-EP of some sort, but I expect it to be my next
leap.
I weren't gonna post this, but im really to proud of this
demo, so here is a quite new demo from that release.

A third project I have been thinking about is due to my
recent encounter with house-music. The oldschool-stuff
Phobez has been playing on the XLT-radio really gave me some
ideas.

i like the vibe... the drums are nice...

I think it could use some variation or more layers... like a
sultry pad that comes in or something...

just needs little flourishes of sounds here and there...

but yeah man, nice!

you know, I see your point, but have you ever thought this
thought:
What if you took for example a release by Aphex, or BoC, and
said to yourself "These recordings are still in a
demo-stage. What do I want to do with them?". You most
certainly would come up with something to change in
the tracks. I like the honesty of a raw demo (not saying
that this one isn't finished and that I won't listen to your
comment), and how it truly showed what the artist was
thinking before the act of perfection. Maybe some of the
tracks we love the most are really demos? This track I made
today, within 4 hours ;)

won't listen to your comment)

sorry ;)

oh, by demo you mean it isnt finished yet?

I thought you meant demo as in, a preview for the rest of
the album

in which case, dont mind me! :)

the opening snyth to "saturday" is very nice, it has punch
but is controlled

the second synth that mirrors the melody is a nice touch,
especially how it keeps the original melody while the first
synth changes and goes into the b part that dominates from
the middle to the end of the song

this doesn't sound like boc to me, but I like it indeed

check out my thread if you wish, titled "PigeonSt spam"

yes you can...if you have PC, right-click and choose "Save
target as...". If you have Mac, hold down CTRL, click on the
link and choose "Save target as..." ...shouldn't be that
difficult

saturday - interesting bassline, however i usually seem to
find any form of flange to be atrocious, but i guess it's
not too overly distracting, in this case..
i really like the percussion, it's not too jumbled or
screwed up sounding, but it is still interesting enough to
keep your attention and is suitible for this track. i also
really like the other melodies that come in later on in the
track.
also, the little voices that come in now and again are a
nice touch, i was listening to this on headphones and it
really startled me..
for a split second, it felt like someone was in the room
with me quickly mumbling something.. it made me jump a
bit..
overall this was a good track, it's the best of the music i
have heard of yours so far.
keep up the nice work, mr. junk.

finally downloaded "saturday", it has a very lazy saturday
feel to it. it does sound like a demo, i think it could
use some more depth or some melodic counterpoint to expand
the repetitive melodic theme for the final version. i'd
like to hear the final version when it's done.
