if i had some ftp space somewhere i'd post it in the net;
it's 30mb. I just want some feedback, it's my first work as
music video director, probably my first real job after the
film school.

i run emule, a p2p derived from edonkey.
Right now i am getting free web space for posting the
video... because i see that launching a file into the public
with a p2p is really hard if it's not a Lord of The Rings'
something.

Maybe you'll hate the fact that the video is a quicktime and
not a div-x avi, but it was taken directly from the Mac
where it was edited.
Maybe you'll also hate the fact that the video was shot in
dvcam and not in glorious 35mm, but that's the look that we
wanted for it and shooting the video in dvcam gave us the
chance to shoot a lot more (believe me, with that poor
ultra-low budgets that we have it's a big risk to shoot on
film, i've seen many music videos that ended up as crap just
because all the money and time went with the 35mm, even 16mm
cans; the videos arrived at the postproduction with
sometimes half of the footage; film cans end, videotapes
don't). Of course we deinterlaced the video and made some
additional treatments, i hate the 50hz shitty look of the
PAL video. Who doesn't?

And the song is not bad, really nice and eccentric compared
to the major part of the crap that generates the spanish
music industry. At least it IS a song. Well, go and see and
tell me what do you think (but don't make me cry):

minutes to close the damn non-responding program.

The music is okay in a spainish pop kind of way. The video
for me relies to much on designers republic imagery, ie. the
cut out thing. It'd look cool on a Santana video, a cross
batween average cuts and played out old people getting off
on current music.

I need to go to sleep! ashbrg, the video is really middle
of the road, if you want to make 'it' you need to express
more than an appreciation for edititng techniques.

Man learn how to encode to DIVX.

Im the DivX ninja, I could make 50 minutes 10 megs and it
would still look decent

ok; but
where to store the file?
do you know any free ftp or somewhere to post a 30mb file?
...
I don't think it relies too much on designers republic
imagery (just in the cut out thing, but it's more like a
tribute/homage to Ian/designersrepublic; there are some
other personal tributes in the video, some of them more
subtle)

I'm so happy. This is what Garth Jennings (the director of
such excellent videos as Beck 'Lost Cause', Blur 'Coffee &
TV', REM 'Imitation of Life') told me about my video:

I think your video is excellent!
Congratulations!

I especially liked the old fellas dancing in the street.

All the best

Garth
