After having spent all morning clearing some unwanted junk out of my house, I had had my lunch, turned the TV off...and just sat there in the armchair.....and I listened. Nothing....not a thing.........I sat there for 10 mins or so, wonderfull. Anyone relate to this? |

I often sit in silence with just the voices in my head telling me to do things. It is really quite relaxing. I often sit in silence for at least an hour, helps me get things straight in my brain. The silence is usually followed by loud sounds though. |

there's not too many moments of silence where i live due to train stations and their blaring horns and the fact i live right near an airport and i swear to god my house is directly aligned with the runway, so all planes are always DIRECTLY over us with nice sonic booms accompanying them. but after a nice heavy texas storm, it's total silence - and it is beautiful. |

Silence doesn't exsist. An anechoic chamber cuts of all outside sound, but when no sound is present you can hear your body working and moving around. |
