I think I am enjoying my painkillers too much.
they made me sick, but my cuddly british doctor prescribed
me some anti-nausea tabs. and now I just down both of them
every six hours.

I am almost out and am wondering whether or not I should get
a refill.

do you need them because you are in pain?

take them.

does the idea of not having them around make you nervous?

good chance you're addicted (psychologically).

I WAS in pain, yeah, this mysterious and horrid pain.. but
now I have tons extra and I am just taking them out of
routine.

I don't know. I think I would be okay without 'em... I just
like them a lot. a WHOLE lot.. like an unnatural lot, for me

That's to be expected the stronger painkillers are really
nice.

If you are worried though, taper them out until there is
none.

nah, don't do it slowly.

just stop. cold turkey.

most physical addictions (if you have any) last only 2 to 3
weeks (alcohol takes only 7 days).

the psychological addiction is the hard one to beat. but
also then completely stopping in one go works better.

yeah, don't get yourself hooked on them meds, it usually
doesn't end up pretty.

cold turkey sounds the best, but maybe a gradual taper is
more realistic?

I've read Johnny Cash's autobiography and trust me, you
don't want to be addicted to painkillers. DON'T get a
refill.
