today my ISP raised everybody's ADSL dl speed from 512kb to
1.5mb, for no extra charge! the upload speed will remain
256kb though.

now i get 200kb/s dl speed max =)

whoohoo!

why are they doing this? because another big ISP here in
iceland raised the 512kb dl speed to 1mb couple of days
ago. and so my ISP raised it even higher their customers
wouldn't switch over to the other ISP. man i love marketing
competition!

knowing those asshats, they will probably double your rates
next month.

if not, that is a cool company to have as your ISP

there can be so much difference between slow and fast
modems..; =)

i'm quite happy with my little one who gets up to 33 KB/s
max., as long as i don't want to download big apps or videos
(which i never do)!
