I discovered this label just today. They are a fairly
established indie label based in Chicago and have quite a
variety and range of good contemporary music. I discovered
them through a post by TRS-80 - a group who released a song
on the same Japanese compilation I appeared on. TRS-80 is
having a release through them, and btw, they're fantastic
too if you can find any of their stuff.

I highly recommend them to anyone looking for something
new.

Then how come in his song "Undercover Funny" he says the
line "With a fellow I run a record label and its name is
File 13 / He's a tall dark Arkansasian motherfucker and I
couldn't say for sure if he actually likes me." I doubt he
was making that up. I suppose he could've been involved
with the label a couple years ago when that song came out.

The album that song's on is from 2001, and now in the link
section of Atom's webpage is says File 13 is a "cool record
label from Chicago that I used to help run." Sorry about
the mix-up.

Sorry about ignoring you Oddio, it is your post, haha..

Advice, I guess just make sure that it's music that you're
confident in and proud of and don't get too discouraged if
you don't hear back from them.

yes. everyone should check out national skyline.

but.........the one album on hidden agenda records is the
only good one imo. the other two on file-13 really aren't
that great. once again, imo.

it's nice to hear their name though. i've been hoping to
hear new stuff from them but each of the members are doing
stuff with other bands. the guy from hum seems to be doing
stuff with hum or at least played a reunion show and the
other guy is with his other band year of the rabbit.
