the smak cd wallet is good ...it has two cds n it containing
smak 1-10.....and lots of space for the futures smak cd
releases! smak 1-10 is brilliant in places ! stuff from
massimo, made, tatamax and quinoline yellow to name a few..

alder and elius make some cool old skool IDM (think early
autechre, polygon window era stuff)

I recommend "parental guidance"

Meam is great too, very spacey, well sculptured soundscapes,
and great dvd too,

I can't think of a good way to describe freeform at the
moment, so I won't try, but I likey ^^

if you're a fan of releases on the skam label, you might
want to try "Eu & Tenzor - Christmas Baubles And Their
Strange Sounds" really cool stuff, sounds like gescom mixed
with an old videogame soundtrack, mixed with ICBYD era afx.

push buttons objects is also not to be missed, their sound
varies a lot, but it's all VERY cool indeed, yet again, I
can't think of a way to describe them, but htey are in my
top 3 of the skam artists

hope that helped :)

I remember Freeform from an ancient copy of Future Music -
He'd won demo of the month I think, using a Spectrum and a
tape recorder or something!?!
Probably one of the best demos I'd ever heard though, you
could tell he'd go far - I'd really like to get into Skam
and Freeform a lot more..

Recon if they get maybe a little more diverse, maybe get
some real melodic electronic stuff on there, Skam could
easily be in line to take Warp's crown in the near future -
Although it seems they haven't been too busy lately - I'd
have thought they were in the ideal position though - Maybe
they're just a little TOO stuck in that glitchey thing at
the moment - But one or two interesting ambient/maybe
tuneful signings and they'd balance that out nicely...
Just a thought.. I'd like to see 'em take over from Warp,
keeping it real etc...

i like quinoline yellow's last release .it was a 3" cd in a
tax disk style plastic wallet - neato and managed to get
push button objects day in the life for free which was
nice..

recomend them both - very pleasing on the ears

J swift: you seen any other future music demo people go on
to do other things?

Be interesting to hear.

I've got the freeform track, the only other one I've
spotted/remembered was duplo remote who went on to do a
split on fat cat.
