notes.

Damn it has been a LONG time since I have played doom. I
don't think I even had that SP album at the time.

That sound seems to be popular. It was used in a "flavour of
the weak" album.... or was it "implode"... by front line
assembly.

half-brother. We both had Mac...mine was a Quadra 800 33Mhz,
and his was a Quaddra 700 25Mhz i think...damn...those where
the days..

hey hey!
I also used to play it on network with a friend of mine... I
had a portable mac, and he had a stationary one so I used to
go over to his house sometimes and we'd play doom (2) and
sometimes Marathon (2).

aw! Marathon!!! ...I played that too! have you ever played
that online game...erhm...what was it called...i don't
remember...but it was like a roleplaying game where you
could select a character (healer, fighter etc.) and walk
around amongst other online users and slay giant ant and
giant rats and stuff....

You can still play this game in windows (like I do) but you
have to use a port. The subculture around this game is
probably as large if not larger than for idm. Search for
"zdoom" or "legacy" in google. And also "wadauthor", for the
ability to edit your own levels. I love making bizarre-ass
complex irregular symmetry in there.

there's much more interesting little peculiarities in SP
music - check out the smashing pumpkins faq for that sort of
sheisse (google for it.) Stuff like the siren going by
billy's apartment halfway thru Starla on pisces iscariot/i
am one (although this too is mentioned in the [obfusticated]
liner notes). Many more too. good faq.
