My brother has been offered to buy a Moog Rouge for 4600 Norwegian kroners (Thats approx 400£). Anyone familiar with this synth?!? It's supposed to be in mint condition...
It looks like this

Sounds a bit high to me... Isn't it just one osc.? Suggest he try getting his hands on a Korg MS-20 instead - much more fun for approx. the same bucks.

That was my instant reaction as well...but he claims it will increase in value and see it as some sort of investment as well...but I'dunno...

I guess that my estimate about the MS-20 is a bit low, I think it's been climbing in value in recent years.
I wonder, if you add inflation and stuff like that, how much the Moog synths have really climbed in price. Probably not as much as one would imagine at first, they've always been very expensive - even back when they where released in the first place.

Nah, the Rogue has 2 VCOs. It is fat sounding but I'd rather go with a MS-20 (although they are more expensive here in Sweden). I had a Rogue some years ago and it was wild!

Cool! My brother is a bit into electronics (he's an electrician) and he's planning to build a sequencer for the MR if he decides to buy it....so I kinda hope he goes for it, cause we collaborate on the music making :)

lol @ od_step_cloak, keep shinning your crazy diamand.
Zeus: It's the Moog Voyager. Had a go on it last Friday, very fat sounding just like a moog should.

I have this really cool and rather old casio-keyboard CT-660. I bought it in 1988 (i think)...and the superb thing about it is the MIDI and the large keys. I still use it and I will NEVER get rid of it!
Have a look: It's the one at the bottom of the page

I had an old Casio CZ-5000 for midikeyboard up til a week ago when it finally stopped sending midi signals after a drop into the floor. Couldn't find the glitch in the circuitboard so now it's in the basement and I have to play with some crappy "virtual keybord". : (

I don't want to hijack this thread but when I'm on the midi-keyboard topic I might as well ask... Has anyone tried the Evolution MK6-hundred-something keyboards with assignable knobs? It's quite "cheap", compared to other midikeyboards. 160-180£
