Are there any albums you have in your collection which you
love, but which either no-one else has heard of or, if they
have, they don't think anything of it?
I have a few:

Black Dog: Spanners/Bytes/Temple of Transparent Balls/Peel
Session
Global Communication: 76:14
Talking Heads: Fear of Music

But generally most people don't really know about Black Dog,
although Plaid are very well known. Don't you think? Maybe
my friends aren't cool enough, cos most of them have barely
heard of AFX.

Fear of Music! Right on, I just name dropped that album in
another topic. I love it, Cities is my favorite Byrne penned
song ever.

Since I'm in a classic rock mood, The Doors- The Soft
Parade- universally considered their worst, I think, but I
love it, Touch Me is my fave Doors song of all.

I neglected Supermodified in both ways. Didn't listen to it
enough and then accidentally dropped it out of a window. 20
foot drop, and the sucker survived.

Global Communication: 76:14 I think is neglected majorly on
this board. But there are a defunkt group now so I guess
thats no surprise. Shame really one of the biggest waste of
talents ever.

I can't believe that 76:14 is neglected. It's an awesome
album. Promo, do you know why (and when) they stopped. They
turned into Jedi Knights in about 1996, and I heard they
were gonna release an LP under that name. All I heard were a
couple of tracks off the Jedi Knights single for the Clear
label.

Cheers, Ophecks. Glad someone else out there likes Fear Of
Music. 'Animals' is brilliant, and 'Memories Can Wait' is
fantastic. You might like to know that an electronic band
called Salt Tank released a track back in 1994 which had the
guitar tune from 'Drugs'. It was released on Internal.
