okay, I know I'm slow, but the plaid - itsu video on the
xltronic page fucking rocks. i love it.

doesn't sound like any of the plaid i know, though -
anything else out there that's like this, plaid or not?

The P Brane EP resembles this, as do some tracks on Double
Figure. Also 'Miami Vice', which is on the Warp sampler
sounds a hell of a lot like this. If all of the forthcoming
album sounded like this song I'd be happy :)

Prolly...Mfaus, Wrong Ways and Itsu are the best guides to
the new Plaid sound...they are all quite similar...and quite
fresh. Also Plaid have always said that NFT - RPC - DF was a
trilogy of sorts...

I eagerly await the new release..:)

ah - miami vice was on the warp 2003 mix mp3? if it's the
track i think it is, it was a section i always ended up
repeating.

oo, a new release? i can't wait either, now, it's great.

I assume the vid you're talking about btw is the one with
the marketing pigs. I have a lovely great quicktime file of
that :)

I wouldn't mind a decent mpeg of the other version though -
with the kids chasing each other with the lasers - hopefully
it'll be on the dvd/album this year...

yeah, i saw both - i was referring to the one with the
pigs.

(yes, i'm slow, i've come into all this quite late) as far
as I understand, this was some warp competition? the pig
one's incredibly professional, and ties in very fucking well
into the music.

the laser one's cool too, but not as cool.

(and yeah, i just downloaded a 15mb reasonably high quality
mov of the pig one; i see there's 60mb ones on soulseek,
worth getting for perhaps better audio quality? i love the
track, it's great...)

The 60mb one - I think that's the size of the one I have.
It's quicktime and the quality is damn fine for
visuals/audio.

Why can't you get it from slsk? And I need some sort of FTP
addy to send it to you... don't I? :)

not downloadable, greyed out :(

nod, you do, which is why i gave my email addy :p not
giving out that stuff publically...

(hmm. actually, out of curosity, is there an unofficial
xltronic ftp at all? in the past on music-related boards
there usually are; but this was years ago. da internetz
has changed much since then.)

I'll be home in like, 5 hours or so if you want to get it
off me, I have no queues...

I see now about the ftp :D

And elusive used to run a very quick - and very extensive -
ftp, which was mainly used by people here, but it has gone
now, sadly.

hm. i might be able to run an unofficial ftp...

i'll check you on soulseek now. my username's 'xf1', mainly
because i forgot my pass for 'xf', heh.

Is Itsu going to be on the new album, or has it already been
on a release (the video was on the Magic Bus Tracks)?

By the way the video is on the OneDotZero DVD.

I assume it's on the new one since it's not on any of their
other releases. Also it seems indicative of the direction
they're going in as Miami Vice is very similar
