Well I've not heard it yet cos it's not out yet, and where I
live the chances of finding a promo are zero at best. But
I've been a fan of Vibert since Gas Fish on that Volume
mag/CD, loved the plug EPs to death and have got just about
everything I could lay my hands on. So I imagine I'll love
it! I'll certainly be getting it.

It's the new one, it should be on CD too. It's out in a bit
on warp, my friend got me it the otherday. Can't wait to
play it loud.

I'll ask my friend xceque, I just got a promo CD of it this
morning, I'll see if he's got any others.. 8 )

That would be lovely :) *bats eyelashes coquettishly, whilst
still maintaining a manly dignity*

What Vibert era would you say it sounded like most? Early
Plug? Ninja Tune period? Phat Lab Nightmare-style Wagon
Christ? The new Amen Andrews stuff? Weirs weirdness?

...or something new?

It's acidy, fun and there's some nice sounds. It sounds
'honest' as it hasn't been post productioned to death...
you'll get one in a bit!

:D

The guy is just a constant innovator. Everything he puts out
seems to have something special going for it. Maybe I'm just
going overboard but even the stuff that didn't hit me right
off (Tally Ho, for instance) really does grow more
interesting the more I listen to it.

Amen Andrews vol 1 is well tasty :)

Vibert makes good funky tunes which makes a break from OTT
weirdness.

'yoseph' is great! it's a solid techno album, mostly acid
and all the crunches and squelches that make acid great. no
idm in sight but definitely some disco elements if that's
your bag! recommended.

oh my god, i got this as a birthday present im returning it
immediately. only track 1 is interesting. very
unimpressive. i cannot reccomend this to anyone unless of
course you like albums that you will only want to listen to
a few times. then again i have never liked
vibert\plug\wagon christ so it depends on what you like
obviously.

i like the analogue/acid type of sound in yoseph. it is
interesting to me.

and i also like vibert, and wagon christ.

so yeah, obviously.

he's playing some good live sets at the moment; tracks from
the album mixed with some reeeally old acid and electro.

Luke's a nice chap too, sat down for a pint and a chat after
his set.

I think it's pretty uninteresting.

I'm yet to give it a proper listen, but there were some
stand out corkers that I thought were cool.

Yeah same problem here...I can't figure out if I REALLY like
it...I did when I wrote that but having listened to it a few
times since I am not too sure any more.
