This song is freaking amazing... Definitely one of my
favorites, if not my favorite, from Confield... the melody
is just so nice... the way it slowly builds and fades in...
and it's real interesting too...

I also love the way the beats, and noises are struggling
almost to stick to a beat... mmmm, so good... I just love
it!

Hmm, that's the one with all those twangy synth strings
right?
I like it too.. especially that rumbling bassline that
weasels its way in later. It's not a favorite on that LP,
but it's nice enough. I do like the way the melodies shift
halfway through but still sound similar. Good track

i like the acidulated taste of the track...

it used to be my favourite.

especially towards the ending. just the collapsing strings
and the rumbling bass.

_user_: I like Uviol, but it's too repetitive I think...
it's really nice and all, but doesn't change enough for it's
8 minute length...

ecnadniarb: Hmmm, bine is like the only track I don't really
like from Confield... everything else is pretty killer!!

eXXailon: Hmmm, same feelings for this one as Uviol... too
long... the beginning part is excellent, but then it goes
weird and crazy, and drags... still really nice though!

Mmmm, Pen Expers... yeah, Pen Expers is my favorite, Eidetic
Casein is my 2nd favorite we'll say... I sent Pen Expers to
a friend of mine, and I told I think it's absolutely
gorgeous... she couldn't understand how I thought that...
but it is... the melody is just amazing!

I just love how everything in the melody and low-end is very
varied and intermittent and pulsating, changing and
shifting, and yet as chaotic as it all is, it manages to
make sense and still flow.

offline uviol from United States on 2003-07-11 22:39 [#00775195]

I think Cfern, Pen Expers, and uviol are the best tracks..
with a possible inclusion of Parhelic Triangle. The thing
about uviol and parhelic triangle is that they are really
subtle. that's why i like them

I've had this album for about a month, and well, Parhelic
Triangle is looking to be my favourite. Even though it's one
of the most fucked up pieces of music I've ever heard.

:( noone likes sim gishel here? I know its pretty much the
underdog of confield from most people's opinions but I like
it purely for its squelching bass morphing.. I have a car
audio system gotta love it :)

Vi Scose Poise is very nice... I just love the bouncing ball
sounds... also, Parhelic Triangle is pretty awesome too...
totally fucked indeed... scary as hell... but I just love
the way the beat slowly changes, and seems to fall out of
line...

bine is the only song I haven't really cracked yet...

VI Scose Poise - 10/10
Cfern - 7.5/10
Pen Expers - 8.5/10
Sim Gishel - 7/10
Parhelic Triangle 8.5/10
Bine - 7/10
Eidetic Casein - 9.8/10
Uviol - 9.7/10
Lentic Catachresis - 7/10

Bine takes more time than the other tracks to get into, i
didn't like it in the first listens either.

Lentic Catachresis is a good song, but deceiving especially
for an ending - too reminiscent of older lp5-era-Ae, not
enough Confield-era-Ae (in other words, not enough dark
spacey and mysterious compared to the others... it sounds
like a step backwards).

I loved Bine the first time I heard it...the background
melody is so subtle and the beats just wash over it. It is
a monster of a track :)

I was watching a national spelling bee on tv a while back
and 'casein' was one of the words. I only got it right
because of the autechre song. I wouldn't of had a clue if it
wasn't for this song. The kid got it wrong on the tv too.
He/She (I can't remember) should listen to autechre to
improve their spelling.

it's a protein in cheese. i knew because my sister was
talking about it once because she is a vegan and has to take
all the precautions towards food and can barely eat
anything. it's also used in plastics, adhesives, paints, and
other foods.

thanks dictionary.com for that last bit of info! :)

Heh, i was beginning to think that i was the only one who
liked laughing quarter.
Favourite from confield would have to be pen expers and
eidetic casein.

And is it just me or is draft a total waste of money/time? I
like most of their other music, and yes i get all those
background melodies, but draft just sucks in my opinion.

my favorite AE track that starts with E. Way better than
