Well if you do, then you hate me. Sorry kids. Please take
the time to listen to this song if you have it. It's not
finished completely but I'm just hoping for some feedback.

right click to download

or go to the page it is on.

whoever listens will recieve a high five along with the
phrase "Up top!" and maybe "Down low!" as well. We'll have
to see how things go for that last one though....

nothing wrong with asking people's opinions, no one's forced
to listen. unfortunately i've no time to download now,
maybe tomorrow...

yeah, i know. but i do notice that the board gets a lot of
people posting about thier music from time to time and
sometimes it bothers people so i just kind of wanted to
apologize in advance. also, i'm not a frequent poster so i
sort of feel bad for that too. i'm just an all sorts of
feeling bad dude. right now i'm feeling bad that i'm feeling
bad about feeling bad. but not really. ok i'm going sleep
soon right after my next amazing topic about walking,
because it doesn't get enough respect.

beginning sounds a bit afxish to me... the beats do too...
but that isnt really a bad thing

lovely melody, although you may want to add a bit more
variation to the melodies.. the last parts reminded me of
meltphace 6

nice track.. could benefit from more structure/variety

There seem to be a lot more people telling us about their
music lately, maybe we should have a permanent fixed topic
for it.

Oh yeah, have one for general ranting about the board too :P

i think that there will always be somebody on this board to
complain about something. what's an online community worth
if you can't share your work and ask for feedback from the
people who have an acknowledged interest in electronic
music?

anyway, you do have to twist people's arms to get them to
listen, though i can't blame them. amateur music is rarely
good enough to consider purchasing.

i remember complaining a few years ago about the lack of
quality electronic music on mp3.com, and reimer eising
(kettel) posted a link to his mp3.com page and he had posted
some very good stuff.

just listened to your track, and i'd say take off or change
the metallic reverb effect, or leave it only on one element.
i'd like to hear this track slowed down, downtempo with a
nice loping bassline. percussion programming sounds a
little uncertain, and yet rigid. i would loosen it up.
melodic progression is simplistic, but personally i don't
see that as a problem. how about a drone element? i think
a tambura with the right pitch and fx would be very nice.
anyway, the track is incomplete, skeletal to the degree that
comments are necessarily open ended. a good start, just
keep working on refining your sound.

To quote that silly zebra:

"and i'd say take off or change
the metallic reverb effect, or leave it only on one
element."

I have to agree with that statement. I do like the beats
though and with the whole melody deal it's sounds
interesting.

thanks for the feedback. high fives for everyone! up top!

about the metallic reverb effect. each different tuning of
the percussion actually took an incredible long amount of
time. what i did to make each one was take the drum track,
put it on three channels. one left, one center, one right.
each channel is tuned differently using a delay effect in
sonar. i'm not too thrilled with the outcome, but it took a
little too long to just scrap it completely. i'm going to
try and see what i can do. what i should probably look into
is buying decent equipment so i don't have to spend loads of
time on something that could probably be done a much easier
way.

once again, thanks for the feedback all.
